What to Wear

Please wear the following:

  • Long pants and long-sleeved shirts (even if it is warm - we'll be in the woods)
  • Work gloves
  • Work shoes - no sandals.  If you can, bring rubber boots or old sneakers for possible work in standing water.
What to Bring

Please bring the following items:

  • Route 1 - Two packages of cookies such as Oreos, Chips Ahoy, etc.
  • Routes 2,3,4 - Two six packs of soda in a cooler
  • Routes 4,5 - Two six packs of water in a cooler
  • Rakes (if you can -please label with your name)
  • Shovels (if you can -please label with your name)
  • Wheelbarrow (if you can -please label with your name)
  • Long-handled pruning shears (if you can -please label with your name)

    Waiver of Liability

    IMPORTANT NOTE:
    Please fill out and bring the following release to Sheldon Lake for all who are not Amigos volunteers. Amigos volunteers do not need to bring one as they filled one out when they started with Amigos. Every person volunteering at Sheldon Lake must have a release - adults included. Children under 18 must have a parent's signature. Children under 12 are not permitted to assist.

    Thank you for taking the time to do this; it makes the registration go smoother at Sheldon Lake.

    Plan to come unless we call you to cancel.  Or call 713 825-1861 to find out if we will still be working.  We will not cancel unless absolutely necessary, so be prepared to possibly  work in the rain.
